Thank your sharing this — you’re a hero to so many!! Impostor syndrome is too real and POC (esp AAPI) rarely ever share their insecurities, so it’s very refreshing to know I’m not alone.

I saw this as athlete and still see it as a military officer… thanks for addressing it and hopefully others can see their value and contributions as very worthwhile!

This is some really powerful writing. You hit on a lot of things, not just in sports, but that can apply to any industry. Amazing work! You show a vulnerability unlike anyone I have read and I appreciate your openness.

Thank you for this Megan! This right here is me 100% " Do you call yourself stupid or dumb? Damaged or broken? That you’re a failure or don’t belong? If you say this to yourself enough, you’ll start believing it. You’re gaslighting yourself. Please stop. You’re smart and worthy. You belong." I have been dealing with this for the last 21 years, Still trying ways to get right.

I’ve battled depression and social anxiety all my life. For the last five years I’ve been really depressed and angry all the time, with severe social anxiety. I’ve loved sports all my life but I’m having a hard time finding jobs and I have imposter syndrome as well. Thanks for inspiring me to keep moving forward, I’ll get better at what I do while learning new skills!
